There are 200 Primary Care Networks (PCNs) in London. We aim to have 2 GPs in each PCN. So we need to train 400 GPs to undertake this work.
Taking South West London as an example:
Population Adults ..... 977 000
Population Children 5-18 year olds .... 244 000
Estimated total number of adult ADHD patients (3.5% ) = 34 000
Estimated number of treated adults (18 %) = 6 000
Untreated ADHD adults (82%) = 27 000
Estimated ADHD Children (5%) =12 000
Treated Children (23%) = 2 800
Untreated Children (77%) = 9 400
